PAYMENT METHODS FOR ONLINE POKER SITES

Credit Cards

Poker rooms accepts various credit card, major thing here is always it is allowed only to deposit via mastercard not to withdraw. For visa it is possible in some rooms to withdraw back on card. For example Party Poker. Also most cheapest like visa electron may not be accepted.

Neteller

Neteller still remains most popular and convenient method of payment in gambling industry.

You will need to confirm two deposits maded on your bank account. In neteller customers use two passwords, one standart and secure id, both is needed to make transactions

Deposit options available at Neteller: EFT, bank wire, credit card, and internet banking. EFTs/bank wires free of charge.

Withdrawals can be made via EFT to a bank account (no fee) or via physical check ($2).

Transfers: All is free, Peer-to-peer transfers are also possible, for an extra fee.

Additionally, Neteller offers a debit card so customers can make cash withdrawals from ATMs.

Account information and transaction history are easily accessible from the Neteller website.

Moneybookers

Deposit options Credit card deposit fee is 1.9%, Wire transfer is free

Withdrawal options: Withdrawal fee on card and via wire trasnfer is flat $2.4

Transfers beetween accounts 1% up to 0.5 EUR, rooms usually cover this.

When registring a credit card you need to verify it. Card will be charged by amount 1.0-2.99 Go to nearest atm, check for this transaction and enter number in required field.

Note: Also some rooms, casinos and etc cover a fee of credit card deposit. Try to make a deposit via moneybookers and choose "deposit using your credit card", han check for the text on the right: "you wan't be charged any fees"

ePassporte - most convenient solution for Us players

It is standart ewallet and virtual credit card. Can be used in any site that accept visa cards. Also ePassporte issue plastic debit card which can used same as visa card

Deposit options: wire transfer, credit card and cash.

Withdrawal options: withdrawals out of ePassporte to your funding method also come with a small fee. ATM withdrawals and EFTs are $2 each, while wire transfers cost a whopping $50. Transfers to and from poker sites are free, although the maximum is $500 ($1,000 for "Select Status"), which is a negative for users who want to make big deposits. The maximum amount that can be withdrawn to your bank or ATM is $300 or $600 per day depending on your status level. To earn Select Status you must upgrade your account by adding a second load option.

To verify bank account or credit card you will need to confirm random charge or deposit.

One complaint with ePassporte is that the company has more fees than the average e-wallet. To load your account with a credit or debit card, it costs $5 per $100 deposited, or portion thereof. So, don't deposit $101, or you'll get slapped with a $10 fee. It's a little more reasonable for EFTs from your bank. The initial load fee is $5 regardless of how much you deposit and subsequent reloads only cost $2 per load. Peer-to-peer transfers costs 25 cents for the first five per day and $1 thereafter. Tack on a $5 account fee per year after the first year, and it can add up. And that's if you don't want the physical debit card. The card costs $35 initially and then $35 per year.

Paysafecard

Can be purchased in central/western Europe, in exchange of fixed amount of money you receive code wirtten on the card. It can be entered at any site which accept paysafe card, than this amount will be credited to account. Can be used only for deposits.

Click2Pay

Transfers: Free.

Shortly after sign up click2pay represantive will call you to verify details.

Standart limit on transaction is $500 per week, it can be increased during the time at management decision or by providing additional documentation.

All major poker room accept Click2Pay.

FirePay

Fall in popularity after rejecting us customers, similiar to neteller.

Citadel Commerce

Respected but not widely used payment solution.

Deposit limit are realtively low.

Instadebit

Unlike most of the payment processors, Instadebit is not an e-wallet. It is a funds transfer service. There is no Instadebit account to "fund." Instead, when you make a deposit at a poker room using this service, the money goes straight from your bank account to the poker room, showing up as a check on your bank statement. This lack of an intermediate account can make transfers to and from poker sites much simpler, although without a bank account dedicated solely to online poker, it does make it a little more difficult to track your bankroll.

Another huge plus is that Instadebit charges no fees to its customers. Transfers back and forth are free of charge.

Unfortunately, Instadebit decided to prevent U.S. customers from using its service to do business with online gambling sites.

That said, an interesting note on security from Instadebit's website states, "All attempted fraud and identity theft is reported to U.S. law enforcement authorities, accompanied with the geo-location and ISP identifier data that may help physically locate the perpetrators of the attempted fraud."

Obviously, that won't quite apply anymore to online poker players, but it is a good sign that the company takes its customers' well-being seriously

Echeck

Similiar to paper check but without paper. Processed very fast, withdrawal may take more time because of the bank.

Bank Drafts are like eChecks, but without a check number. With these, you are authorizing a poker room to pull money directly from your bank account. Many people use automatic drafts to pay household bills, avoiding the need to remember to pay every month.

Wire transfer

Deposit will be always charged by your bank

Withdrawal fees vary.

Paper check

Almost all poker rooms accept them. May take very long time to receive it or send. Also mail can be lost.

Western Union - U.S FRIENDLY (sort of)

This classic method of sending money around the world may or may not be available to you as an online poker player. Western Union does not technically allow online gambling transactions and will most likely tighten up its enforcement as UIGEA regulations are fleshed out. So, it's a bit of a "your mileage may vary" situation with this method.

The process is relatively simple. First select Western Union as your deposit method at the online poker room. The room will give you a person's name to whom to send the money (most likely via e-mail). Then, just go to Western Union's website, register a credit card, select the option "Money in Minutes," enter the recipient's name and other required information, and you're set. Then just go back to the online poker room and enter the Western Union MTCN number you were given to verify the transfer.

You can also go to a Western Union physical location to send the money.

Beware: Western Union carries massive fees. For example, a transfer of $100 from the U.S. to Costa Rica (where several online poker rooms are located) will carry with it a $20 fee.

Also Beware: Please be sure it is legal in your jurisdiction to send money to an online gambling site via Western Union. While it is often possible to send the money, it is not always technically legal, even if Western Union allows it.
