Texas Holdem - The Description Of Game

Every player gets two unseen cards. Then 5 seen cards emerging on the table, every player share this 5 cards to build combinations. Player wins and receives the pot if builds best combination to the end of game round, combination consist from two own cards and other 5 cards on the table. Cards appear at three stages: first appear three cards then one card on each stage. Before next cards appear on the table players trade building the pot. On first two rounds of trade - preflop and flop players make small bets(SB), on next turn and river big bets(BB) two times more than small. Please note here that on two last rounds of game(turn and river) as stakes double, before bet,you will need be sure that you have best combination or with good chances to improve later. Amount of minimal bet defined by table limit, usually at poker room software it shown as small bet/big bet - $1/$2.

Every round of the game starts from first player seating to the left of the dealer. Position of the dealer is defined by button. After each round it passes to the following player clockwise.

Preflop

The player sitting right after of the dealer must make a bet blindly, half of the small bet. Second player also bets blindly amount of small bet. This players called blind (same as they bets small and big blind). After this each player receiving two cards also called pocket cards and starts first round of trade - preflop. All player by order must male a decision to call, raise the bet or fold cards. In the event of raise next players must call a lifted bet. Maximum amount of bets is four, last decision maked by blinds. Round is ended when all players will call or fold.

Flop

On this round next three cards shown at the table. After this starting from first player goes round of trade.

Turn

On this round onlt one card is shown and stakes are doubled.

River

Last card emerging on the table, here on some poker rooms if two players remained in the pot, then unlimited amount of bets can be made. At the end of the round players showdown, best combination wins.

There are three basic versions of tehas holdem:

No limit, NL - player can bet any amount all the time, maximum risk.

Pot limit, PL - player can make bet no more than amount currently in the pot, medium risk.

Limit, LP - player can make only fixed bets, if table limit is 1/2 then preflop and flop maximum bet is 1$ and on turn and river 2$, small risk.
